2017 Graphic Design BFA Thesis Project

This project is half research project and half physical process: a series of explorations in the physical spaces of everyday life, the mental space of concepts, and the social spaces of constructed experience. What happens when one walks through concepts and ideas as if they were trees and buildings? Or when one walks on the fringes of these spaces, the space where spaces overlap? With this project I intended to ask more questions than provide answers. My goal being a revaluation of walking as a potentially radical action and to provoke others to reconsider the walk as process and critique. I believe that this commonplace activity can be utilized to elicit a drastic change in the way we perceive the everyday.
